Here are the highlights of the Donegal/ Lampeter Strasburg game played 3 weeks ago.
Through four innings, the Indians had 14 hits from seven starting players who had at least two hits. But they still only had a 5-0 lead.
Led by four hits from Savannah Kolenda, Donegal kept up the pressure, leaving runners on base every inning.
But the Lady Comets left a runner at second in the sixth and had another doubled off second in the seventh, which came back to haunt them.
In the top of the 10th inning, the only inning Donegal didn’t have a hit, the Indians scored the winning run. Pinch runner Jessica Kosheba started the 10th on second under international tiebreaker rules, went to third on a sacrifice and scored on a triple by Rachel Robinson.
