Sallade sets records in Township win

Week 5: It was billed as L-L League’s Section One “Game of the Week.” Conestoga Valley visiting Manheim Township. Two teams with incredible offensive firepower. And was it ever on display this evening.

Grayson Sallade, Township’s outstanding running back, rushed for 304 yards on 21 carries, and scored six touchdowns as Township cruised to 49-28 victory over the Buckskins.

Sallade broke two Manheim Township football school records tonight. Matt Minnick’s five rushing touchdowns in a 2006 game and Justin Stull’s 290-yard performance in 2001.

CV’s Jose Borbon, the senior running back with multiple college scholarship offers, scored 3 touchdowns, giving him 15 for the season.

Conestoga Valley’s Section One record is now (3-2, 1-1) and Manheim Township is (4-1, 2-0).
