With second place on the line in Section 3, the Lancaster Mennonite Blazers won a decisive victory against the Northern Lebanon Vikings 66-43.
It was 21-20 at the half and then the Blazers went on a tear and never looked back.
Interesting stat for the Blazers (11-2 Section 3, 16-5 overall): They lead the league in scoring (1324 points) and yet do not have one player in the the top 20 scoring leaders. They move the ball around to everyone and everyone scores. And their defense is lightening quick. They had 8 steals in this game.
Tonight it was John Gillespie leading with 23 points, 4 steals and three assists. Roman Ali threw in 15 point, with 8 rebounds and two steals.
Sophomore Elijah Terry also had 2 steals.
The Vikings (10-3, 15-6) Michigan Daub led his team with 12 points.
