Friday the weather gave us a reprieve and games were played.
The Donegal Indians played the L-S Pioneers on the road and came away with a 7-6 win.
Down by a run in the top of the seventh inning, they clawed their way back into the lead.
They loaded the bases with no outs. Then Indians’ first baseman Patrick Beaudoin tied the game with a sac fly. Seiler Edwards followed by hitting a ball in play and 2 runs, including what would be the winning run, scored.
In the bottom of the second inning, Connor Blantz hit a home run for the Pioneers.
This Jeff Hartman’s second year as the Indians head coach.
Last season, they had a record of 6-10 in league play and 9-11 overall.
The Pioneers are managed by head coach Keith Martin. This is his sixth year.
