Undefeated Streaks top Falcons 58-42

The Manheim Township Streaks came into the home game at Neffsville undefeated and left that way after topping the Cedar Crest Falcons 58-42.

This early season game was for first place bragging rights and the Streaks are now officially in that slot all alone in Section One.

Megan Baldassare and Olivia Matto, two seniors, led the Streaks with 19 and 18 points respectively. Katie Bushong threw in 12. But it was the defense, holding the Falcons to just 16 points in the second half that made all the difference. The Falcons turned the ball over 18 times in the game.

The Blue Streaks are now (4-0, 6-0) and the Falcons (3-1, 4-3). Megan Baldassarre now has 960 career points.

The last time the Streaks beat Cedar Crest was two years ago at Township on Dec. 23, 2015. The Falcons had won 26 straight L-L League games and are the Section One title winners the last two years in a row and the reigning L-L League Champions.
