The Manheim Township Blue Streaks have won their 5th District 3 boys lacrosse title and first since 2015.
They did so by defeating the Cumberland Valley Eagles 11-5 at Central Dauphin High School.
The No. 2 ranked Blue Streaks are now 22-1 on the season and can add this championship to the LL League Title they won 2 weeks ago.
So what makes this team so good?
Because in 22 of the 23 games they have played this season, they have held their opponents to single-digit goals. The Blue Streaks defense is keeping opposing teams to an average of just four goals a game, the best clip in the Lancaster-Lebanon League, and fifth-best in the state according to stats on laxpower.com.
The players who make this defense work are keeper Caton Johnson, senior defenders Kyle Lando, Dan Klotz and Cameron Chambers, and a mix of midfielders George Hetrick, Will Hurley, Zack Dotter and Ben Mann.
