Crusaders win L-L League title again

For the second year in a row, the Lancaster Catholic Crusaders have won the L-L League Title. In fact, it’s their third in four years.

They defeated the Elco Raiders 66-42 in front of a packed house at Manheim Township High School.

Senior guard/forward Kiki Jefferson led the Crusaders to their 57th straight win with a 30-point performance. The state record for most wins in a row is 61.
Peyton Jaques poured in 4 three-pointers as well for the Crusaders.

Last year the Crusaders won their section, league, district and PIAA Class 4A titles going 32-0. They’ve completed 2 out of those 4 titles already this year.

This was an all-Section Four final, as the Crusaders won the section with a 24-0 record and Elco came in second going 20-4.

The Crusaders are coached by Larry Detz. In five years he has led the team to a 132-15 record. This is the 14th championship for the Crusaders and that is a league best record.

Elco is coached by Ashli Shay, this was her 9th season. The Raiders have gone 107-101 under her leadership.
