Football season is right around the corner. Let’s look back at what we call the best comeback of 2013 football season. We covered it so here it is again.
Lancaster Catholic opened the season 0-3. And when they played Penn Manor, the Comets were undefeated averaging more than 40 points per game. The Crusaders’ Rafael Mateo’s catch for a 37-yard touchdown with seconds left was the difference maker this night and part of what I am calling “the plays of the year”, as the Crusaders beat the Comets with an unbelievable series of magical catches and a run for a first down. Penn Manor had given up two turnovers that Catholic capitalized into touchdowns. And they a missed field goal and extra point that cost them the points they needed for a win. Here is the entire last possession of the game.
