Catholic wins 61st in a row, ties record

Undefeated Lancaster Catholic, now on a 61 game winning streak that ties the PIAA record held by York Central, defeated Quaker Valley 52-24. With the victory, the Crusaders advance to a quarterfinals match-up with District 7 runner-up, Central Valley (23-2) on Wednesday in the Class 4A state playoffs. The Crusaders are the defending state champions.

Kiki Jefferson turned in another impressive performance to lead the Crusaders. Jefferson put up a game-high 16 points, while teammate Casie Perris added 10 points in the win.

With her 16 points, Jefferson is now the second highest scoring player in L-L League girls basketball history.
Corinne Washington led Quaker Valley with 11 points.

Catholic is now 29-0 this season. They haven’t lost a game since March 21st, 2017 against Villa Maria in the state semifinals.
