Catholic beats McDevitt 5-1

The defending state champion and District 3 title holder Lancaster Catholic Crusaders defeated Bishop McDevitt 5-1 on Saturday at LCHS. The weather was perfect for a day game.

Winning pitcher Josh Beck was lights out for Catholic. He threw 5 innings of no-hit, shutout baseball with 11 strike outs.
Cam Barto and Anthony Sivillo entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Mike Toth took the loss for Bishop McDevitt. He lasted four innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out six.

Cam Barto also ripped a home run in the fourth inning.

Catholic pounded out eight hits on the day. Luis Correa went 3 for 4 and Devin Atkinson, and Barto also collected multiple hits.
