Barons top Crusaders 7 to 1

The Lancaster Catholic Crusaders came into his game riding a 12 game winning streak dating back to last year and their incredible run for the District 3 and PIAA state title.

But sooner or later in baseball all streaks come to end. That’s what happened to the Crusaders today.

The Barons put together a string of seven hits and seven walks to score 7 runs and hand Catholic its first loss of the season with a 7-1 victory.
In the second inning, the Barons kickoff of their offensive scoring when Cody Gibble drew a walk, scoring one run.

For the Barons Colton Book and Hunter Hess had multiple hits. Book went 3-for-4.

Colton Book was also the winning pitcher for Manheim Central. He lasted seven innings, allowing five hits and one run while striking out seven.
Anthony Sivillo took the loss for Lancaster Catholic Crusaders Varsity. He surrendered three runs on two hits over two innings, striking out two.
Cam Barto led Lancaster Catholic Crusaders Varsity with two hits in four at bats.
