For the eighth time and third in a row, Hempfield and Manheim Township squared off for the Lancaster Lebanon League Boys Lacrosse Title tonight at Warwick High School.
Dominating on face-offs, Black Knights’ Cole Fuller won 29 of 33, Hempfield won it’s first league lacrosse championship title since 2013 with an 18-11 victory.
Township had won 5 L-L League titles in a row and had not lost to Hempfield in the last 11 meetings.
Hempfield’s Matt Heusten led all scoring with 6 goals.
The Blue Streaks made a comeback effort in the second half outscoring the Black Knights 6-4 in the third period. But Hempfield would not go away scoring four more goals in the fourth quarter to ice the victory.
There Black Knight players scored 43 goals: Grayson Dague, Kohl Wesner and Cameron Aksu.
Tyler Kurtz left the Blue Streaks with 6 goals.
