Sydney Horn wins L-L Pole Vault Title

Manheim Township’s Sydney Horn won the girls pole vault league title with a 12-6 vault.

Her attempts to break her sister Mackenzie’s L-L League record of 13-1 fell short.

Sydney took the silver medal in April during the Penn Relays clearing 13.2.

Earier in April at the Bruce Dallas Invitational at Cumberland Valley, the Manheim Township junior jumped 13-00 in the pole vault for the first time in her career.

On May 8th she vaulted 13-6 during the JP McCaskey-Manheim Township meet. That was the third highest girls pole vault in state history.

Horn is just the seventh girl in state history to jump 13 feet outdoors in the pole vault. She sits at No. 6 on the all-time outdoor list in Pennsylvania.
