Streaks lose to Palmyra in Districts 8-7

John Pallone is the name of the goal keeper for the Palmyra Cougars (20-7).

It’s a name the Manheim Township Streaks (18-4) won’t soon forget. He held them to single digit scoring for just the fourth time this season.

These two teams met earlier in the season with the Blue Streaks winning 15-11.

But today was different.

Township tied the game 7-7 with 3:11 left on Sean Curcio’s third goal.

The teams traded possessions until Palmyra’s Haus passed the ball to Kyle Wasilewski who scored the game winner.

Next up is the PIAA Class 3A tournament on Tuesday of next week. The Streaks you might recall are the reigning PIAA champions.
