Pioneers’ Enck drafted by Colorado Rockies

Lampetere Strasburg graduate Cameron Enck has been drafted in the 27th Round by the Colorado Rockies major league baseball team.

When he played for Lampeter Strasburg he was tabbed a 2015 Preseason All-American, as well as a 2014 and 2015 All-Conference selection, and was named to the Mid-Atlantic All-Region Second Team.

2018 (Junior): Made 12 starts for the Tars, pitching primarily on Friday nights … posted a 2-6 record with a 4.64 ERA over 66 innnigs … tallied 75 strikeouts against 20 walks on the season … Allowed three hits and one earned run while striking out seven over seven innings against World Series runner-up Columbus State on February 23rd … Gave up two hits and two runs with 12 strikeouts and zero walks in a loss against Palm Beach Atlantic on March 16

College: Played at the University of Maryland in 2016 and 2017 … Made ten combined appearances, covering twelve innings … struck out eleven hitters

High School: Attended Lampeter Strasburg High School… was tabbed a 2015 Preseason All-American, as well as a 2014 and 2015 All-Conference selection, and was named to the Mid-Atlantic All-Region Second Team

Personal: Son of Julie and Tom Enck… has one sister Justine…majoring in Business Management, and one day would like to own a business… enjoys playing golf and football, as well as working out… chose Rollins because of how it ould challenge him academically, and set him up for success after college, as well as the opportunity to play collegiate baseball
