2019 L-L Softball All-Stars

The 2019 Lancaster-Lebanon League Coaches All-Star teams were recently released and seven athletes repeated on the All-Sections 1 & 2 and All-Sections 3 & 4 teams.

L-L League All Section One and Two

Brynne Baker P L-S Senior

Baker was a senior co-captain on a Lampeter-Strasburg squad that finished 28-2, won the L-L League tournament title and advanced to the PIAA Class 5A championship game for the second-straight season. The Pioneers’ ace went 23-2 in the circle with 114 strikeouts and 66 earned runs allowed in 155.2 innings. Baker also batted .340 with 32 hits (four homers, 10 doubles) and 32 RBIs.

Julz Garber OF L-S Junior

Lampeter-Strasburg’s skilled leadoff hitter posted a .545 batting average along with a team-high 60 hits and seven triples. Garber’s 54 runs scored also paced the mighty Pioneers. She added 10 doubles and 31 RBIs for an L-S squad that ripped off 24 straight wins to begin the 2019 campaign. She was part of an amazing season for the Pioneers who won the L-L League tournament title and advanced to the PIAA Class 5A championship game for the second-straight season. The team went 23-2.

Summer Peters OF L-S Junior

Peters posted a .563 batting average with 53 hits and 41 runs scored. She slugged five homers, 11 doubles and drove in a team-high 41 runs. In the biggest game of the season, Peters went 3-for-4 in the PIAA Class 5A championship against Penn-Trafford.

Sierra Neiss P Donegal

One of the region’s true strikeout artists, Neiss punched out a whopping 249 batters in 150 innings. She finished 22-3 in the circle with a 1.49 ERA as Donegal reached the PIAA Class 5A semifinals. At the plate, Neiss batted .452 with three homers, 30 RBIs and nine doubles. She was part of an amazing season for the Pioneers who won the L-L League tournament title and advanced to the PIAA Class 5A championship game for the second-straight season. The team went 23-2.

Morgan Biesecker C Donegal

Steph Reider 1B Donegal

Reider hit for power and for average as Donegal finished 24-3 and made the final four in Class 5A. Donegal’s power hitter led the team in homers (nine), RBIs (48) and slugging percentage (.975). Reider also paced the Indians with a .512 batting average and 41 hits.
