Comets top Indians for LNP Title

It’s almost a summer rite of passage if you grow up and play baseball in Lancaster County. The LNP baseball Tournament as they are now called but known to most around here as the New Era Tournament since 1946. It’s sponsored by the Lancaster Newspaper.

Tonight’s Midget-Midget 12 U championship final between the Penn Manor Comets (20-3) and Mountville Indians (32-13-1) was the first of 3 championships that will be played in the next 2 weeks from 3 different age groups.

The Comets won tonight 4-1 thanks to two home runs. One by Bryce Avery the other from Cole Miller. The game was played at Kunkle Field in Mount Joy.

Bradyn Eckert started for the Comets and picked up the win. Jackson Stuart picked up the save in the top of sixth inning for the Comets.
