What makes Warwick football tick?

The Warwick Warriors are coached by Bob Locker who is in his 19th season with a record of 88-89 overall.

Last season the Warriors were 5-1 in Section 1 tied for first along with Manheim Township and Wilson. They were 9-3 overall and went to the District 3, 5A playoffs defeating Palmyra 64-0 in first round then lost to Cedar Cliff 33-23 in the quarterfinals.

The offense starts with Quarterback Joey McCracken.

Last season, as a sophomore in his first start under center during mid-season, he set the single-game L-L League passing record of 530 yards while dismantling Wilson 38-12 at Gosh Field in October. In that game he threw five touchdowns.

Here are the video highlights from that game:

He also helped the Warriors finish in a 3-way tie for first place in Section One. Then in the Warriors’ D3 playoff schedule, he helped them beat Palmyra. That was the Warriors first ever football postseason victory.

He finished the season passing for 1,970 yards and 27 TDs with three INT. He also rushed for one TD keeper.

With a full season ahead of him he could set new L-L League records for sure.

The Warriors also return WR Trey Glass, who led the L-L League in catches (74), receiving yards (1,326) and TD grabs (15) last year. Plus hulking OT Nolan Rucci will be back to anchor the O-line, and to pass-protect for McCracken.
