L-S QB McTaggert out for season

Sean McTaggert, the sterling junior QB for the L-S Pioneers, was injured in the first game of the season against Spring Grove and is potentially out for the season.

While returning a kickoff in the second half, he injured a knee. He will likely have surgery and a long recovery time.

The game was a blow out win 50-6 for the Pioneers. McTaggert threw 154 yards for two TDs. He also ran for 23 rushing yards and a score in gather first half.

The Pioneers sophomore Berkeley Wagner finished the game at QB, his first varsity experience at that position.

He threw for 53 passing yards and a TD, along with 17 rushing yards on three attempts. Connor Nolt is the backup QB for the Pioneers but he was injured too.

As a sophomore McTaggart had a total of 2,420 total yards for 24 total touchdowns. He was considered one of the top QB’s in the L-L League.
