Hempfield tops Township at the buzzer

Section One Play:

Daniel Sears grabbed a rebound off the glass and turned it into a put back with 2 seconds remaining to give Hempfield a road win against Manheim Township 44-42.

This was a big win for Hempfield whose season has started off with some difficult losses.

Hempfield was led by Ryan Hilton’s 13 points, eleven of which were scored in the second half.

Zach Oldac led Township with 17 points including two foul shots that tied the game 42-42 with 29 seconds left.

Hempfield was down by ten points early in the third quarter.

Coach Walk, “I reminded our team that we need to be together for 32 minutes. You can’t let your teammates down. And that’s what they did tonight. When we needed a stop they got it.”

Hempfield’s Daivon Edmond-Green’s post defensive play was outstanding.
