On Senior Night at Lancaster Catholic High School, the Crusaders’ Senior Shooting Guard Sommer Reeser nailed eight 3-pointers to break the career league and team career and single game record for such plays. In total she scored 30 points (career high too) in the game helping the Crusaders to top the Donegal Indians 73-51.
She now has 212 career 3-pointers. On Reeser’s second trey she beat the previous record of 205 held by Columbia’s Stacie Aston.
What’s interesting is that she set these records while missing a year of player eligibility because she transferred from another high school to play at Lancaster Catholic.
It was a tail of two halves as Donegal led by as much as ten points into the second period. Then Reeser went nuts and kept scoring.
Two more games in league play for the Crusaders, Linden hall then Elco and it’s off to the playoffs for the Section Three first place team.
