The McCaskey Tornado’s opening round win in Tuesday’s District 3-6A boys basketball playoff game was their first District win since 1996. Those were the days of Kobe Gantz.
It has often been said that defense wins championships. The Tornado style of play is fast paced and wide open averaging nearly 70 points a game. While Chambersburg held opponents to 50 points a game this season. It was going to be interesting which side of the ball would determine the winner.
Tonight it was offense as Makai Ortiz-Gray slammed in 27 points to lead McCaskey to the quarterfinal round where they will play Wilson on Friday night.
