Catholic wins Districts at the buzzer

If at first you don’t succeed try again.

At the end of the fourth quarter with seconds remaining in a tie game, Lancaster Catholic Crusaders’ David Kamwanga threw up a trey from the left side top of key but it bounced off.

Four minutes later in overtime seconds before the buzzer, Kamwanga drove to the top of the key and floated towards the basket and drilled it. Thus giving the Lancaster Catholic Crusaders the District 3, Class 4A Championship.

They had defeated the Bishop McDevitt Crusaders 61-59 at the Giant Center. Bishop McDevitt you may recall defeated Catholic last year in the District title game.

This is the fourth District title for Catholic and third with Head Coach Joe Klazas.

Then number one seed Catholic (23-3) are the Lancaster Lebanon Section 4 title winners as well.
