States: Catholic beats Ringgold 59-56

Round one of the PIAA 4A playoffs saw the Lancaster Catholic Crusaders beat Ringgold 59-56 at Warwick High School.

Catholic’s Ross Conway led all scoring with a career high 21 points off the bench.

Conway nailed a jumper with 30 seconds left to put the Crusaders up 59-56.

A three-pointer from Ringgold in the final seconds rimmed as Lancaster Catholic moves on to the quarterfinals.

The Crusaders won the District 3 championship with a 61-59 buzzer-beating triumph over Bishop McDevitt in the title game. Ringgold is the District 7 fifth-place team. Ringgold’s last PIAA win came in 1995.

Ringgold is the high school that Joe Montana graduated from.
