Week 2: Cocalico 35 Barons 19

Manheim Central carried a 23 game Section Two winning streak into tonight’s action with the defending District 3, 5A champion Cocalico Eagles in Denver.

But that is history now as Cocalico throttled the Barons 35 to 19.

The Eagles blew the game open in the first quarter when Anthony Bourassa rushed for a pair of first-quarter touchdowns. He finished with 254 yards rushing.

When you think about all the players they lost; Noah Palm, Brock Gingrich, Ronald Zahm and their head coach Dave Gingrich (Bryan Strohl is the new head coach), they look every bit as good as last year.

QB Carson Nash ran for 118 yards to help the Eagles out run the Barons 470 yards to 60 yards.
