Linden Hall: 3rd District title in a row

If there was any doubt that the Linden Hall School could complete a district three-peat win, the Lions squashed it early in a 54-33 blowout win over Columbia Wednesday night.

Nadja Velisvljiev scored her first 11 points. And 6’5″ Mercy Ademusayo led all scoring with 21 points.

This is their third District 3, 2A title in a row. And the Lions fourth championship-game appearance in a row.

They will continue their march to the State Title game next week. Only the district winners are competing this year for the state title.

The Lions’ scored 20 first-quarter points.

Columbia’s MacKenzie Burke drilled four 3-pointers and scored 12 points for Columbia.

Linden Hall out rebounded Columbia 24-22, and the took advantage of 18 turnovers.

This was Columbia’s first appearance in a district title game since 2017. They were searching for their 5th District title win.
