Penn Manor 16 Conestoga Valley 12

Eleven games were washed out on opening night for the L-L League football teams.

But Penn Manor and Conestoga Valley, though delayed for 55 minutes, got their game in. And it was a good one.

Remember that Penn Manor lost all of its games last season and CV won their last 5 games.

But beat the Buckskins the Comets did by a score of 16-12 at home in Millersville.

The Comets’ Noah Bolin’s 22-yard touchdown run with 4:22 left in the game powered the Comets to their win.

The Comets’ junior running back carried the ball 10 times for 73 yards.

Conestoga Valley took a 12-9 lead late in the game when QB Macoy Kneisley nailed Avery Tran for a 95-yard touchdown pass.

Kneisley finished with 138 yards (5-for-18) in the loss, snapping the Buckskins’ five-game winning streak from 2020.

The Buckskins will play Garden Spot next week while the Comets will play Lampeter-Strasburg on the road.
