This was a great game to watch. Both teams were tied for first place in Section Three with (11-3) L-L records before the game started. After seven and a half innings the Pioneers and Indians were locked in a 1-1 game. But in the bottom of the 8th inning Cameron Enck, who had pitched 4-hit one run baseball for the Pioneers, delivered a sharp single up the middle to plate Lampeter Strasburg’s second run and break the tie for first place. It was perhaps the best game I have seen all year. Two great teams giving it everything they have. The Pioneers have now won 11 straight and with this win clinch first place in Section Three. Donegal can still finish in second and make the playoffs if Manheim Central loses one more game.

It’s that time of the year to preserve those baseball and high school memories. The Great Frame Up on Columbia Avenue next door to Starbucks in Mil Plaza does a great job. Check out this framed jersey.
