CC’s Fisher doing great in minors

Cedar Crest graduate Derek Fisher, who was drafted by the Houston Astro’s in June 2014, is off to a fast start playing for his first professional baseball team, the Tri-City Valley Cats. A class “A” ball team for the Astros. Through his first 24 games he’s hitting .359 and playing left field. The interview here is with a local reporter in Troy, NY on the day he arrived to the team. Fisher played in the College World Series in June with the University of Virginia, who lost to Vanderbilt in the finals.
