Now if the weather would only warm up!<\/p>\n<p>Ephrata had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victor by a 12-2 margin over the Warwick Warriors. This was payback for the Mountaineers, who suffered a 10-6 loss the last time these two teams met.<\/p>\n<p>Ethan Hunt was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. What&#8217;s more, he posted two RBI, the most he&#8217;s had since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Custer, who went 3-for-5 with three doubles, three RBI, and one run.<\/p>\n<p>The Mounts Junior pitcher Camryn Simes (1-0) struck out 10 Warwick batters thru 6 innings, giving up 1 hit &#038; 2 runs.<\/p>\n<p>Warwick&#8217;s defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.<\/p>\n<p>The Warriors\u2019 4 pitchers combined for 13 strikeouts of their own, but gave up 9 walks &#038; hit 4 batters.<\/p>\n<p>Looking ahead, Ephrata will host Donegal at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
