The Nittany Lions set a new team tournament points record with 177. And, Starocci was the tournament\u2019s most outstanding wrestler. Penn State finishes with 10 All-Americans, becoming the second team to accomplish that, and is the first team with 10 top-six finishers.<\/p>\n<p>Nittany Lions\u2019 Mitchell Mesenbrink earned his first national championship at 165 pounds, while Carter Starocci became the first ever five-time national champion with the 184-pound crown.<\/p>\n<p>Thirty-seven Big Ten wrestlers earned All-America honors.
