The Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers have won the District 3, Class 5A title by defeating the number one seeded Twin Valley Raiders 5-1.

The fifth inning was all you need to see as Chlor Blantz blasted a two-run shot to over the right field fence to give the Pioneers the lead. That was her 14th home run on the year.

A few batters later Emily Platt drilled a fastball over the left center fence to increase the Pioneers’ lead to 5-1.

Winning pitcher Keive Middelton pitched a complete game for the Pioneers.

This is the second District 3 title for the Pioneers. Their first since 2007.

The Pioneers head too the state PIAA tournament where they have a remarkable history.

They were runner ups win 2019 and won it all in 2018.
