June 7th: State Class 4A Softball Tournament:

The District 3A champion Pequea Valley Braves have defeated District 12 runner-up Swenson 10-0 to advance to the quarterfinals in their sixth trip to the state softball tournament.

The Braves starting pitcher Olivia Ammon was smoking hot. She threw a one-hit shutout with 15 strikeouts.

PV’s hitters were on fire too. Emily Ammon, Camryn Bailey and Hailey Yothers each had 2 RBI scoring hits.

PV (17-5) plays District 4 runner-up Central Columbia in a quarterfinal game on Thursday.
