Fresh off their District 3, championship title win and LL-League title, the Penn Manor Comets (25-3) won their first round game in the PIAA Class 6A state tournament by a score of 9-0 against Garnet Valley on Monday.

They will face Spring Ford (21-2) in the quarterfinals on Thursday.

It took a little while, but the Iron Nine came through.

The Comets scored 4 runs on four consecutive in the fifth inning to take a 4-0 lead.
