Manheim Township defeated Hempfield 7-0 Thursday to remain undefeated this tennis season. So what else is new?

The Blue Streaks had a 16-1 record last year. They won the Lancaster-Lebanon League and District Three Class 3A.

Their first loss of the season was in the first round of the PIAA tournament.

Big difference this year is that their head coach John Briner stepped down after a record of 63-4.

His assistant Carolyn Miller took over this season.

Hempfield no slouch, (13-3) last year in Section One, lost to Township 3-1 in the L-L title match

Some dates to remember:

Sept. 29, Oct. 3 and 4 — L-L team tournament.

Oct. 6, 8 and 10 — L-L flight tournament.

Oct. 14-15 — District Three singles.

Oct. 21-22 — District Three doubles.

Oct. 25, 28 and 29 — PIAA team tournament.

Oct. 4 and 5 — PIAA singles and doubles tournament.
