The Lancaster Catholic Crusaders boys soccer team defeated Mercyhurst Prep 3-1 in the PIAA State Class 2A semifinals match in Northuntingdon, PA. on Wednesday evening the 16th of November.

The team will now team play in the 2022 PIAA State Championship Class 2A game on Saturday against Northwestern Lehigh.

This will be the first state title match that for Lancaster Catholic boys soccer team has ever played in.

The match will be plays this Saturday November 19th at Mechanicsburg at 1:00 PM.

Two goals for Catholic were scored Leo Lambert and Will O’Malley had one.

Catholic’s record is now 17-5-2 on the season.

Mercyhurst finishes their season with an 18-4-1 season record.

Lancaster Catholic lost to Fleetwood in the PIAA District 3, Class 2A playoff finals on Saturday November 5th.
