PIAA Football 5A semifinals Mansion Park Stadium, Altoona, PA:

Cocalico’s “Cinderella Story” in the HS Football postseason came to an end in the 5A PIAA State Semifinals with a 34-12 loss against District 7 Champ, Pine-Richland. The Eagles, who came in as the 5A District 3 Champs fell behind 21-0 and fell short in their comeback attempt.

All in all it was a great season. The Cocalico Eagles (10-5) won their fourth District 3 Title and made their 3rd appearance in the State Semifinals.

Pine-Richaland: Brad Gelly 2 TDs, Ryan Palmieri 1 TD, Andrew Mellis 1 TD, Ethan Pillar 1 TD

Cocalico beat Elizabethtown, Gettysburg, Solanco and Exter Township to get to the state semifinals.
