December 7th:

Hempfield vs L-S. Great way to start of the regular league play season of L-L League basketball.

It was billed as a rematch of last February’s L-L League title match which the Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers won at the buzzer.

However, the Pioneers are missing their all-star Guard Ty Burton from last season.

It was close but the Pioneers put together an 8-0 point run and tied the game 36 each in the 4th quarter.

Dan Herr nailed a trey for the Pioneers who took the lead 39-36 and never looked back.

They scored 17 points in the 4th quarter to pull away with a win at home.

Luke Hines had double digit rebounds for the Pioneers giving them 32 rebounds to 24 for Hempfield.
