February 28, 2023 – The Lancaster Catholic girls certainly had played a lot of big games prior to the Feb. 28 PIAA District 3 3A championship game against Columbia.

In 28 previous District III tournaments, the Crusaders have played a record 172 district playoff games – 140 of which were victories.

Not exactly strangers to district play, the Crimson Tide were in their 11th district title game when the two Lancaster-Lebanon League foes tangled at the Giant Center.

After opening a double-digit halftime lead, Lancaster Catholic kept up the pace to a 49-34 victory, the Crusaders’ 20th district title, which ties them with Lebanon Catholic atop the all-time list.
