When you score 13 runs you’ve gotta believe you can win. Unfortunately for the Lampeter Strasburg Pioneers, the Elizabethtown Bears scored 14 runs.

This was the 4th time this season they have scored in double digits.

The Pioneers never gave up and battled to the final out with two runners on base.

In the 5th inning Brooke Zoober hit a grad slam home run to give the Pioneers a 12-11 lead.

But Etown was relentless. Sophia Finch drove in 3 runs for the Bears. Two with a giant home run over the left center field fence.

Elizabethtown’s record is now 2-1 in Section play and 4-3 overall. The Pioneers are 2-1 in Section Play and 2-5 overall. Both teams are tied for first place in Section 2.
