Lebanon’s Mileyska Calderon set a track meet record at 18 feet, 1 inch at Hempfield’s Black Knight Invitational last Saturday April 15th.
She topped the previous Black Knight Invitational record held by Penn Manor’s Sarah Stackhouse at 17-11 six years ago.
Before this Meet only six Pennsylvania girls had jumped 18 feet.
She is a senior and missed all of the 2020 Covid season. And last year she experienced a hamstring injury that wiped out her season.
So this is her first evidence in competition proving that she is very specials indeed.
“I was expecting 17,” Calderon said of her jumps. “I was excited because I never did this before.”
