Catholic tops Pequea Valley

Lancaster Catholic defeated Pequea Valley 9-0 last Friday on there home field.

The Crusaders are still undefeated with an (8-0 league, 9-1 overall) record.

This was their ninth win in a row. They lead Section Four by two games.

Chase Danielson drilled a 2-run single in the sixth inning to cap a 7-run rally which put the game away.

Catholic’s always had a competitive team for the last ten years. This year is no exception.

They have at least three Division One recruits with Zimmerman (Georgia Southern), Reese VanScoten (Longwood) and Nathan Wingenroth ( Elon).

Starting pitchers Jackson Gates, Zimmerman and Liam Ahern, combined on a three-hitter.

Danielson, Wingenroth and Dylan Banzhof had two hits each for Catholic.

The Crusaders have won eight straight section titles.

Last year they captured the District Three Class AAA championship and reached the AAA state.
