The Lancaster Country Day tennis team defeated Lower Moreland 3-2 in the District 3 Class 2A boys tennis championship match.

The match was held at Hershey Racquet Club on Saturday.

The Cougars doubles team of Ivan Bene and Andrew Yanero defeated Gabriel Shapiro and Logan Moore 6-3, 7-6 (9-7) for the title.

The Cougars finish there season (21-0).

A dramatic 3-2 win at the Hershey Racquet Club on Saturday gave Lancaster Country Day their school’s first-ever team state title, in addition to a perfect 23-0 season.

They also won the District Title in Class 2A this year.
