McDevitt Tops Barons for District Title

It’s hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Manheim Central Barons can now relate to. They took a 23-17 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop McDevitt Crusaders. Manheim Central’s loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Zac Hahn threw for 48 yards on 11 of 22 attempts. Aaron Enterline was his top target, picking up 29 receiving yards. On the ground, Brycen Armold rushed for 53 yards.

The critical scores for Bishop McDevitt came from Chase Regan, Rico Scott, and Gage Ruth.

Manheim Central’s loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Bishop McDevitt, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0.

Manheim Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bishop McDevitt will square off against Dallas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Dallas: 15.6, Bishop McDevitt: 12.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
