Senior Ben Troyer led Hempfield with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and to a 47-42 victory over Wilson who came into the championship holiday tournament final with an 8-1 record. Troyer walked away with the MVP trophy to go along with the tournament title.

His cousin Spensor Troyer had 12 points for Hempfield.

Wilson is also ranked 2nd in the District Three Class 6A power ratings.

Hempfield, the defending L-L League champions, now have a 5 win, 3 loss record.
