The No. 2 Columbia Crimson Tide rolled past the No. 1 Trinity Shamrocks 64-61 in a nail-biting game for the PIAA District III Class 3A Championship Wednesday.

The Shamrocks were looking for their 20th program title and to become back-to-back champs, but the Crimson Tide were hungry too. They both kept it close the entire matchup, with Trinity cutting Columbia’s lead 50-49 with 5:21 left in the game.

Columbia ultimately held Trinity off and secured the 64-61 victory to take the trophy.
