The Lancaster Catholic Crusaders defeated Hughesville 54-40 in the girls’ quarterfinal PIAA Class 3A matchup.

They were down as many as 7 points in the second half but came back with 3-pointers and a defense that denied Hughsville down the stretch.

Carleigh Anderson had 3 treys, Mary Bolesky and Autumn Lipson had 2 each.

Catholic will be heading to their second semifinals state playoff game in two years.

Their record is now 27-2 on the year.
