I ran into a star named Stella Higgins

While covering the baseball quarterfinals today at Lancaster Catholic baseball field, I ran into a basketball star.

They captured their fifth PIAA State Championship on March 21, 50 years after the program won its first girl’s basketball state title in 1974. “I think it felt pretty surreal because the season was so long and we put so much hard work. . . to get there,” said junior Stella Higgins.

And today at the Lancaster Catholic baseball quarterfinal matchup with Pequea Valley I ran into her and just had to ask a few questions.
