Garden Spot beats Manheim Central 28-9

Week 9: Garden Spot came away with a big Section 3 win over Manheim Central 28-9.

Garden Spot hadn’t done well against Manheim Central recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn’t let the past get in their way on Friday. The Garden Spot Spartans enjoyed a cozy 28-9 win over the Manheim Central Barons. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Spartans were the (much) better team in the second half.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion’s share of the credit has to go to Andrew Pemberton and he. Pemberton gained 64 total yards and two touchdowns while he gained 64 total yards and two touchdowns.

Garden Spot’s victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-4. As for Manheim Central, they have been struggling recently as they’ve lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Garden Spot is taking a road trip to square off against Solanco at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Garden Spot is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they’ve averaged 29.3 points per game this season. As for Manheim Central, they will host Warwick at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Warwick is coming into the match with four straight defeats on the road, meaning Manheim Central will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
