This is the second time Wilson has beaten Cedar Crest this season.

Wilson had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.9 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They put the hurt on the Cedar Crest Falcons with a sharp 28-3 victory. Considering the Bulldogs have won six matches by more than 22 points this season, Friday’s blowout was nothing new.

Leading Wilson to victory were Correll Akings and Madyx Gruber. Akings rushed for 164 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry, while Gruber rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries. Akings’ longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.

Wilson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 312 rushing yards. That’s the most rushing yards they’ve managed all season.

Wilson pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.6 points per game. As for Cedar Crest, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-4.

Wilson will challenge Central York at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both have allowed few points on average, (Central York: 14.5, Wilson: 12.3) so any points scored will be well earned. Cedar Crest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
